Beatrice V. Buresh Beatrice V. Buresh, 76, resident of the Town of Arthur, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1988, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born June 24, 1912 in the Town of Eagleton, the daughter of Minnie (Rowen) and Roy E. Liddell. She attended Anson Grade School, Chippewa Falls High School, a two-year teacher's training school and received her B.S. in teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Beatrice married Emil Buresh on June 9, 1937 at Jim Falls. Following their marriage they lived and farmed in the Town of Arthur. She taught school at Hillside School in Tilden, the East Anson School, the Drywood area schools, and at the Cadott Community School. They retired from farming in 1967. She retired from teaching in 1977. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Carol (Kenneth) Bowe of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Irene (Julian) Olsen of Chippewa Falls; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Dianne Popp; one sister, Florence Liddell; one granddaughter, Beverly Ann Popp. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Christ Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. Donald Thorson officiating. Spring burial will be in the Bohemian Cemetery, rural Cadott. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Leiser Funeral Home, Cadott, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. |
