Former Resident,
Dies at Hospital

Joseph Malin Clark, 56, of Cornell, and a former Cadott resident, passed away at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday of this week, following a short illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30 from Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cornell.  Interment will be in the Bohemian Cemetery, Cadott.  The body will lie in state Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday until time of service at the Cornell Funeral Home.

Clark operated the Clark & Svoma Feed Mill in this village from 1937 to 1952, and during those years was a respected businessman and resident of the community.

He was born on December 25, 1901, at Augusta, where he spent most of his childhood.  On September 6, 1937, he married Mildred Svoma in Cadott.

They sold their mill to its present owner, Vince Miller, in July, 1952, and moved to Bruce where the deceased operated a mink ranch until July, 1956, when he assumed proprietorship of Clark's Store and Station at Cornell.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Karen, Sally and Toni; three brothers, Paul and Franklin of Augusta, and William of Eau Claire; and six sisters, Mrs. Herman Senski of Augusta, Mrs. Ryland Herrold and Mrs. Carl Erdman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Dana Wheaton of Superior, and Mrs. Woodard Johnson and Mrs. Victor Erdman of Eau Claire.
