Former Goetz resident dies; services Friday Mrs. Joseph Moravecek, 87-year-old former resident of the town of Goetz, passed away Tuesday at Phillips, Wisconsin. MRS. MORAVECEK was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States and settled in Chicago when she was 16 years old. She was married to Joseph Moravecek and moved to the town of Goetz in 1908, where she lived until 14 years ago, when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Merton Gronlund of Phillips. She is survived by four children: two sons, George of Eau Claire and James of Elmwood, Illinois; and two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Larson of Eau Claire and Mrs. Merton Gronlund of Phillips; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1950. FUNERAL services will be held at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Cadott at ten o'clock Friday morning, with Fr. Jos. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, near Cadott. The body will lie in state at the Leiser Funeral Home from 2:00 Thursday until the time of service. The rosary will be recited at 8:00 Thursday evening. |
