Henry Prokupek Passes Away Suddenly At Home Henry Prokupek, age 78, resident of the Town of Arthur, passed away at his home suddenly on Monday morning, October 26, death being the result of a heart attack. Born in Chicago on August 16, 1892, he came to Chippewa County and settled with his family in the Town of Arthur while he was a small boy and he has resided in the area throughout the remainder of his life. He was married to Selma Kohls on June 23, 1931, at Cornell. He was a veteran of World War I. He was very active with the ZCBJ Lodge, of which he was a 50 year member. Surviving are his wife, Selma; one son, Marvin at home; two daughters, Lois at home, and Mrs. Ronald (Elvera) Finses of Altoona; three grandchildren; one brother, Jerry, Rt. 2, Cadott; and one sister, Mrs. Peter (Henrietta) Hanket, Rt. 1, Cornell. Visitation at the Leiser Funeral Home, Cadott, may be made until the time of the funeral services. The services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Fuller officiating. Mrs. Raymond Post will sing with Miss Carmen Flitz at the organ. Interment will be at the Bohemian Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa County Barracks 2905, Veterans of World War I. The pallbearers are: Charles Sikora, Fred Koutny, Adolph Imberry, Damus Morgal, Rudy Muska, and Lud Muska. |
