Mrs. Emma Roshell Dies Suddenly Monday

Mrs. Emma Roshell, 67, passed away suddenly at St. Joseph's hospital at 2:15 p.m. Monday afternoon. Mrs. Roshell had been in her usual health until Monday morning when she suffered a heart attack and was removed to the hospital.

Mrs. Roshell was born Emma Koskuba at Ferguson, Ia., on November 22, 1885. She was united in marriage to Jos. Roshell at Marshalltown, Ia., on February 10, 1902, and they came to the Cadott community in 1903 settling on a farm in the town of Arthur. Mrs. Roshell lived there until 1947 when she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Stanek of the town of Colburn and has resided there since. She was a charter member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge.

Survivors include four sons: Fred, William, and Theodore Roshell of the town of Arthur and Joseph Roshell of Cadott; two daughters: Mrs. Albert (Josephine) Nesvacil of Arthur, Mrs. Wm (Emma) Stanek of Colburn; two brothers: Mike Koskuba of Milwaukee, Jim Koskuba of Muskegan, Mich.; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Lacina of the town of Goetz, Mrs. Elizabeth Kalinaj of Garwin, Ia.; 18 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband and three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Leiser Funeral Home at two o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. C. O. Johnson and Wm. Buresh Sr., officiating. Burial took place at the Bohemian cemetery. Pallbearers were: James Podhola, James Michal, John Kysilko, Tom Buresh Sr., Milos Holub and John Forman.
