MR. J. SVOMA

Mrs. John Svoma, 44, died at her home at Cadott, at noon yesterday following an illness of a year.  While arrangements for conducting the funeral services had not been decided upon today, relatives said the services will be held either Friday afternoon, or Saturday morning at the residence with interment in the Drywood cemetery.

Mrs. Svoma was born at Carbon, Ill., and was married to Mr. Svoma in Chippewa Falls.  They moved to a farm a half mile north of Cadott seven years ago, which has since been the home of the family.

Surviving relatives are her husband and nine children ranging in ages from a year and a half to 21 years, as follows: Ann Svoma, nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, James, Elizabeth, Mildred, Bessie, Florence, Eleanor, Lois Ann, William, and John.  Also her mother, Mrs. John Matuska of Merrillan; three sisters, Sister Gabriella, formerly Jane Straka, who is in a convent in Merrill, Mrs. Herman Kveen of Chicago, Mrs. John Vlasnik of Cadott; two brothers, Joseph and James; and a step-brother, Anton Vencel.

The remains will lie in state at Hinterberg Funeral Home at Cadott until late Thursday when they will be taken to the late residence.
