Joseph L. Tomasek Sr.

CADOTT ― Joseph L. Tomasek Sr., 49, of Cadott, died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born on May 15, 1955 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Andrew and Thelma (Barlow) Tomasek.

Joe was born and raised in the Cadott area and attended Cadott Schools. He enjoyed working with and repairing small engines, ice fishing and deer hunting.

He is survived by: his mother, Thelma Tomasek of Jim Falls; his children, Joseph (Lisa) Tomasek Jr. of Thorp , Andrew (Kellie) Tomasek of Chippewa Falls, Jacob Tomasek of Stanley, Amy (James) Zastrow of Stanley, Jean (Bart) Bomback of Chippewa Falls, and Bobbi Jo Eliason of Chippewa Falls; 19 grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Kenneth) Hoffman of Brantwood, Wis.; two brothers, James (Joann) Tomasek of Flora, Ill. and John (Linda) Tomasek of Neilsville; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Catherine Starck.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Andrew on April 5, 1969; a son in infancy on July 1, 1975, step-father Rudy Tomasek on Nov . 21, 2000; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Rev. George Olinske officiating. Burial will be in the Bohemian National cemetery in the Town of Arthur.

Friends may call at the Leiser Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2005 and one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
