ROBERT J. VLACH

Robert J. Vlach, 71, of the Town of Arthur in Chippewa County was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital Saturday evening, Sept. 19.

He was born June 12, 1910 in Chicago, the son of Joseph Vlach and Barbara Smetana Vlach. He moved to the Town of Arthur at the age of one with his parents where he grew up and attended school.

On June 14, 1934 he was married to Helen Fuchs in Chippewa Falls. Following their marriage they farmed and lived in the Town of Arthur. He was a long-time member of the ZCBJ Lodge and was also on the board of directors of the Bohemian Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Helen; daughter, Shirley of the Town of Arthur; and sister Mrs. Alice Muska of the Town of Arthur.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott. The Rev. Clarence Cheever officiated.

Interment was in the Bohemian Cemetery.

Friends called Monday 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until the time of the service.

Laraine Post sang and Carmen Filtz was the organist.

Pallbearers were: Robert Sedlacek, Rudy Kucera, Robert Stipek, Frank Sikora, Alfred Svoma and Charles Sebesta.
