Rites Friday for
Thomas Zelenka

Thomas J. Zelenka, 77, passed away early Tuesday morning at the Mt. Washington Sanatorium in Eau Claire after an illness of several weeks' duration.

LAST RITES will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Leiser Funeral Home here, with Rev. Cletus Hair officiating.

Zelenka was born on November 21, 1884, in Chicago, where he was a resident up until twenty years ago, when he came to the Cadott and Pike Lake area, where he had since resided.  He was married to Mary Moravec, who preceded him in death; in 1932, he married Mary Koska.  She died in 1960.

The deceased was well-known throughout this area and news of his death saddened a wide circle of friends.  His body will lie in state until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery.

SURVIVORS include a son, Geo. Zelenka of Berwyn, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Black of Forest Park, Illinois, and Mrs. Lillian Bitson of Berwyn, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Johnson of Cicero, Illinois, and Mrs. Mary White of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and three grandchildren.
