Catherine E. Jackson

STANLEY — Catherine E. Jackson, 96, longtime town of Delmar resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley.

Catherine was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Boyd, the daughter of Matt and Rose (Wellner) Zimmerman. She grew up in the Boyd area and attended St. Joseph’s School in Boyd. She was united in marriage to Donald Jackson on April 29, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Boyd, and resided and farmed in the town of Delmar for many years. In 1992 she moved to Stanley where she has resided since. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Boyd, and the St. Elizabeth’s Society.

Catherine is survived by: her daughter, Diane (Ronald) Myslinski of Stanley; and two grandchildren, James Myslinski of Eau Claire and Kristine Myslinski of Stanley.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Donald in 1992; three brothers, John, Arthur and Clarence Zimmerman; and sister; Evelyn Naiberg.

Besides her love for her family, Catherine also enjoyed reading, gardening, and tending her plants.

A Christian burial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Boyd, with Fr. Robert Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends and family may call one hour prior to service time at the church in Boyd.

Plombon Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
