Donald R. Jackson

STANLEY — Donald R. Jackson, 81, Route 1, Boyd, Town of Delmar, died Tuesday morning June 2, 1992, at the Golden Age Home in Chippewa Falls.

He was born Nov. 29, 1910 in the Town of Goetz, the son of George and Ellen (Roth) Jackson.  He grew up in the Boyd area and married Catherine Zimmerman April 29, 1941 at St. Joseph's Church in Boyd.

They farmed in the Town of Delmar and he also operated a milk truck for many years.  They retired and remained living in the Town of Delmar.  He resided at the Golden Age Home for the past month.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine of Boyd; one daughter, Diane (Ronald) Myslinski of Stanley; two grandchildren, James Myslinski of Eau Claire and Kristine Myslinski of Chippewa Falls; two brothers, Harold "Joe" of Boyd and Kenneth of Duluth, Minn.; four sisters, Mayme (Francis) Bourgett of Boyd, Mrs. Helen Thompson and Cathryn (Victor) Johnson of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Dorothy Scheidler of Eau Claire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, with Father Arthur Redmond officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley, where the parish rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday.
