Clarence M. Lancor
Clarence was born in the Town of Delmar, rural Boyd, on May 12, 1923 the son of Robert and Gertrude (Schreck) Lancor. He grew up in the area and attended area schools. He was united in marriage to Mary Wellner on May 28, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd. They lived and farmed in the Town of Delmar where he also operated a farm implement business for many years. Clarence loved hunting, fishing and going to his cabin in Hayward with family and friends. He also enjoyed the ritual “morning coffee clutch”. He is survived by: special friend, Marion Henning; son, Jerry (Diedra) of Boyd; five grandchildren, Julie (Dan) Yeager of Boyd, Daniel Kane of Stanley, Lisa (Troy) Arneson of Buffalo City, Jenny of Winona, Minn., and Michael, at home; four great-grandchildren, Alan and Derek Yeager and Ella and Alyvia Arneson; two brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Lancor of Webb Lake, Wis. and Ralph (Marion) Lancor of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Mary, in 2000; grandson, Christopher Lancor; and two sisters, Bernice Wellner and Alice Schaefer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Boyd, with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel in Stanley, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday. |
