Julius Thuecks MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Julius Thuecks, 87, formerly of Boyd, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Walker City View in Minneapolis, Minn. He was born March 13, 1914, in the town of Delmar, the son of Jacob and Gertrude (Klapperich) Thuecks. He attended area schools, graduating from Boyd High School. Julius married Lillian Schneider at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd on May 23, 1939. They farmed in the town of Delmar for over 30 years. In 1966, he started to work at the Northern Center in Chippewa Falls, retiring in 1982. He lived in Boyd until July 1999 when he went to live at the Walker Elder Suites in Minneapolis, Minn. At the time of his death, he resided at Walker City View in Minneapolis. Julius was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Boyd all of his life where he served as an usher. He also belonged to a Sheephead Club for over 50 years. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Thuecks of West St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Dennis (JoAnn Pawlak) Thuecks of Minnetonka, Minn.; three grandchildren, Patrick, Annette and Scott; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ashley and Bailey; one sister, Josephine Thuecks of Appleton; and one sister-in-law, Clarabelle Moldenhauer of Stanley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian, in 1988; his parents; four brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, assisted the family. |
