Arthur Edward Zimmerman

Arthur Edward Zimmerman, 78, of Boyd, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1993, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.

He was born in Boyd July 11, 1915, the son of Matt and Rose (Wellner) Zimmerman.  He was raised in the Boyd area.

He married Clara Kastel Sept. 9, 1941, at Sacred Heart Church in Edson.  They lived and farmed in the Boyd area until he retired and moved to the Village of Boyd in 1976.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; one daughter, Janet (Walter) Welch of Lansing, Ill.; two grandchildren, Thomas (Karla) Welch of Calumet City, Ill. and Tamra Welch of Lansing, Ill.; and two sisters, Catherine Jackson of Stanley and Evelyn Naiberg of Cadott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John and Clarence.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd.  Spring burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boyd.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley.  There will be a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday.
