Richard D. Zimmerman Richard D. Zimmerman, 66, of Boyd, passed away at his home in that village Friday afternoon. His death came as a shock to his host of friends in the Boyd community. The deceased was born in the Town of Edson on June 11, 1888, the son of the late William and Mary Zimmerman. On June 25, 1913, he was united in marriage to Mary Willkom at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Boyd, with the late Rev. C. Nau officiating. He farmed near Boyd during his lifetime, moving to the village in March of this year. One son, Richard, Jr., preceded him in death on March 11, 1943. He is survived by his wife and the following ten children: Loretta, Irene, Clara and Alice, all of Milwaukee; Robert of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Ray (Florence) Dorrr of Fabens, Texas; Mrs. William (Leone) Nedrow of Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. Walter (Mary) Webber of Camp Douglas; and Harold, with the U.S. Army at Camp Lee, Virginia. One brother, Math. Zimmerman, of Stanley, one sister, Mrs. Joseph Wellner of Chippewa Falls, and nine grandchildren also survive. The remains are in state at the Supple Funeral Home in Boyd where services will be held at 10:00 o'clock Monday morning, with Msgr. Hilary A. Leuther officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 o'clock Sunday evening at the Supple Funeral Home. |
