James Naiberg

James Naiberg, 78, 1236 Dover St., Chippewa Falls, died today (Monday), Oct. 31, 1988 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

He was born Feb. 27, 1910 in Marshalltown, the son of Josephine (Roshell) and Frank Naiberg.

James married Matilda Seidling on Feb. 28, 1937 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd.

He farmed most of his life in the Town of Goetz. He also worked at Cornell Paper Mill for one and a half years and at the Northern Center for eight years. He moved to Chippewa Falls in August of 1983. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a former treasurer for the Town of Goetz.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Jerry (Eleanor) Naiberg of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Joann (Gordon) Kuehni of Chetek; two brothers, Rudolph of Racine and Charles of Cadott; five grandchildren, Donna and Nancy Naiberg, Roger, Allen and Randy Erickson; and one great grandson Alex Erickson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank and Fred; and one sister, Vlasta Charney.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. William Jablonske officiating. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls, where a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
