Matilda Naiberg

Matilda A. "Tillie" Naiberg, 90, a resident of the Rutledge Home, Chippewa Falls, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at the home.

She was born November 13, 1911 in the town of Delmar, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (Kraus) Seidling. She married James Naiberg on Sept. 28, 1937 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd. Following their marriage, they lived in Cornell, and then moved to the town of Goetz in 1939 where they farmed and resided until 1983. In 1983 they moved to Chippewa Falls. In 1999 she became a resident of the Rutledge Home. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

She is survived by one son, Gerald of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Joann (Gordon) Kuehni of Chetek; one sister, Anna Jandrt of Boyd; one sister-in-law, Irene Seidling of Cadott; five grandchildren, Donna Poeschel of Eau Claire, Nancy (Dan) Heller of Chippewa Falls, Roger (Lora) Erickson of Eau Claire, Allen (Sue) Erickson of Deerfield and Randy (Melinda) Erickson of Chetek; three great-granddaughters, Brianna Poeschel and Sara and Sophia Heller; five great-grandsons, Alex, Arik, Zachary, Sean and Adam Erickson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James on Oct. 31, 1988; one daughter-in-law, Eleanor Naiberg; her parents; eight brothers, Wenzel, Louis, Peter, Frank, Carl, Herman, Edward and Norbert Seidling; and one sister, Marie Cosgrove.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. William Felix will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Brooklawn Cemetery, Cadott.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. The Ladies of St. Charles will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. and there will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. both on Monday at the funeral home.
