Rachel Naiberg
1900 - 1984

A funeral service was held Monday for Rachel Naiberg, 83, a resident of Victory Memorial Nursing Home, who died Thursday, May 3, at the nursing home.

She was born Sept. 21, 1900 in Cadott, the daughter of Elizabeth Van Horn and Alex Lancor. She was raised in Town of Delmar.

Rachel was united in marriage to Fred Naiberg on Sept. 28, 1920 in Chippewa Falls. Following their marriage they lived in Cornell until 1925, when they moved to Town of Delmar where they farmed. In 1958 they retired and moved to Lake Holcombe where they lived for 21 years before moving to Cadott in 1979. Rachel entered Victory Memorial Nursing Home in 1982.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott.

Surviving her are one son, Donald Naiberg of Boyd; one sister, Doris Koenig of San Jose, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980 and one brother.

Funeral services were held at St. Rose of Lima, with the Rev. Thomas Crowley officiating. Interment will be at Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.

Pallbearers were: Robert and Thomas Naiberg, Bernard Ertz, Al Kunz, Mike Berseth and Harold DeBruin.
