Woodrow Lancor Woodrow “Woody” R. Lancor, 91, formerly from the town of Goetz, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Dove Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation in Eau Claire, Wis. He was born on Aug. 10, 1915, the son of Raymond and Helma (Anderson) Lancor in Cloquet, Minn. Woodrow married Dorothy Green in Chippewa Falls, Wis. At the age of 3, he moved to the Cadott area from Cloquet, Minn.; and they lived with his grandparents after the death of his mother and sister. Woody moved to the town of Goetz in 1947 where he continued farming with his Jersey cattle until his retirement. Woodrow was a lifelong member of Big Drywood Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. He is survived by his children, Thomas (Teresa) Lancor of Green Bay and Barbara (Gale) Thom of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, Stephanie and Michael Lancor, Andrew (fiancée, Gina Gladwell) Thom and Lisa Thom; great-grandchildren, Victora and Lauri Lancor and Sasha Lancor-Pena. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; a sister, Charlotte; and stepmother, Lillian. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with the Rev. John Lee officiating. Interment will be in Big Drywood Lutheran cemetery in the town of Goetz. Friends may call at Leiser Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. on Saturday. |
