Fatality at Bovill A. G. St. Germain, brakeman on one of the logging trains, was crushed to death under the wheels of the engine of his own train on Wednesday of last week. St. Germain was riding on the pilot when he fell between the rails, the engine dragging his body several feet. He was jarred from his seat by the engine striking a log on the track. As quickly as possible he was taken to the local hospital, where Dr. Young gave every attention. He succumbed to the shock about 8 o'clock. The doctor found his body terribly mangled. He was a son of Mrs. George St. Germain, of Bovill and was about 28 years of age. He had been working for the company but a short time before his death. Interment occurred at Palouse. The young man's untimely death is a sad blow to the parents and two sisters. They have the sympathy of all. |
