MICHAEL BINSFELD

Michael Binsfeld, a resident of Stanley, passed away on Feb. 13 at 4 a.m. in Victory Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Belgium, Wis., in Ozaukee County, on January 3, 1870.  As a small boy he lived at Cedar Grove, Sheboygan County, on a farm on the shores of Lake Michigan.  Five years later he moved with his family to Brillion, Wis., where they farmed.

In 1901 he came with his family to the Stanley country where they bought the John Carey estate.  In 1906 he married Miss Mary Wellner and they lived on a farm in the town of Delmar until 1929 when they retired and came to Stanley.  She passed away on Feb. 10, 1953.

Survivors include one daughter, Viola (Mrs. Lawrence Seidling), a grandson, Norman Seidling, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Jenneman of Boyd and Mrs. Anna Bill of Marshfield.  He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.  He was a member of St. Anne's Church.

The body will lie in state at Plombon's Funeral Home from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday morning when services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 9 a.m.  Rev. Edmund Craemer will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 8:45 p.m.
